Request for Public Comment on Neighborhood Stabilization Program 2 Proposal

Enterprise Corporation of the Delta (ECD) and several partner organizations will be submitting a proposal as a consortium to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development in response to the Notice of Funding Availability for Neighborhood Stabilization Program 2 (NSP2) funds published on May 4, 2009 (posted at www.hud.gov/nsp). ECD will be the lead applicant and will be responsible for implementing the program in accordance with NSP2 and HUD requirements. The other members of the consortium are: Associated Development Services (New Orleans, LA), Habitat for Humanity Bay-Waveland Area (Bay St. Louis, MS), Habitat for Humanity/ Metro Jackson (Jackson, MS), Hope Community Credit Union (region wide), and Tunica County Community Development Corporation (Tunica, MS). The Consortium is requesting public comments on the proposal summary. The full proposal will be submitted to HUD by July 17, 2009. If funded, ECD will utilize NSP2 funds to redevelop vacant properties in targeted census tracts in Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, and southwest Tennessee. ECD will be accepting public comments on this proposal until 5pm on Monday, July 13, 2009.
