ECD/HOPE CEO Participates in White House Meeting on Economic Stimulus
WASHINGTON, DC Bill Bynum, Chief Executive Officer of ECD/HOPE (Enterprise Corporation of the Delta/Hope Community Credit Union), will participate in a meeting with President Barak Obama on December 22 to identify innovative ways to boost lending to small businesses and move the economy forward. Bynum will join a select group of 12 leaders from other community development financial institutions (CDFIs) and community banks from across the nation at the White House as they advance ideas to stimulate small business growth and plans for regulatory reform.

ECD/HOPE CEO Participates in White House Job Creation Summit
WASHINGTON, DC - Bill Bynum, Chief Executive Officer of the Enterprise Corporation of the Delta/Hope Community Credit Union (ECD/HOPE), will participate in the White House Jobs Summit today to identify innovative ways to create jobs in the current economic climate. Bynum will meet with the President and over 130 other large and small business leaders, nonprofit executives and policy experts.

Department of Treasury Awards ECD $20 Million New Market Tax Credit Allocation
Jackson, MS - Enterprise Corporation of the Delta (ECD) has been awarded $20 million in New Markets Tax Credit (NMTC) authority from the U.S. Treasury Departments Community Development Financial Institutions Fund. ECD is one of 32 Community Development Entities nationwide to receive an award with resources made possible through the Recovery Act. The NMTC Program injects private-sector capital investment into communities to create jobs, stimulate economic growth and jumpstart the lending necessary for financial stability.

HOPE Name and Logo Go Up On Former American Savings CU Branches
Jackson, MSWhile Hope Community Credit Union (HOPE) and American Savings Credit Union (ASCU) officially merged January 1, 2009, on July 1 all ASCU branches in Arkansas, Mississippi and Tennessee will convert their signage to the HOPE name and logo. The merger of these two entities formed a larger, stronger community development financial institution that serves working families throughout the Mid South.

Press Release - Hope Community Credit Union Opens New Mississippi Coast Branch in Biloxi
Biloxi, MS Hope Community Credit Union (HOPE), a community development credit union, and its sponsor, Enterprise Corporation of the Delta (ECD), are celebrating the grand opening of a new Gulf Coast branch located at 188 Porter Avenue in Biloxi.

The new credit union branch at the corner of Howard Avenue and Porter Avenue will make HOPEs affordable financial services more accessible to Mississippi Coast residents. Since Hurricane Katrina, HOPE has assisted thousands of families and small businesses across the Gulf Coast, and places a strong emphasis on fostering economic stability in economically distressed areas.

American Savings and Hope Community Credit Unions Merge
Jackson, MSHope Community Credit Union (HOPE) and American Savings Credit Union (ASCU) announced today that the two organizations are joining in a merger transaction. The merger became effective January 1.

The merger will result in a larger, stronger regional community development financial institution that will serve working families in Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Tennessee. ASCU will retain its name and operate as a division of HOPE until systems are integrated over the coming year.
